His work with Pharrell and Adam Levine alongside endorsements from the most notable music critics propelled him into the national spotlight. In 2017, Phelan geared up for his first release of solo material. His first single, “Settle Down,” was praised by Yahoo Music and Huffington Post as “unique, thought-provoking, complex constructions that flourish as they progress.” The following year, Phelan released his much anticipated sophomore collection. His second single, “Long Way Down,” climbed to #38 on the Billboard Mainstream Top-40 indicator chart and resulted in over 1.5 million radio plays. Phelan has also been featured in Paste Magazine and touted as a “supreme” live act by Bandsintown.
